The Minnesota Twins reinstated All-Star outfielder Byron Buxton from the 10-day injured list on Monday.
Buxton, 31, missed the last 13 games with left ribcage inflammation and has not played since July 26.
He is hitting .282 with 23 homers, 59 RBIs and 17 steals in 85 games this season, his 11th with Minnesota.
Buxton was named to the American League All-Star team for the second time this season (2022).
The Twins optioned outfielder Carson McCusker to Triple-A St. Paul to make room on the 26-man roster.
McCusker, 27, made his MLB debut in May and is hitting .222 with five strikeouts in six games for Minnesota.
