SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – Fifth graders in Superior are getting tours of the Wastewater Treatment Plant this week.
The city’s Environmental Services Division is hosting 12 classrooms and around 300 students to learn about what happens to wastewater that leaves homes, businesses and schools.
Wastewater treatment is an important process that cleans and disinfects used water before it re-enters Lake Superior.
Student tours of the treatment plant have been offered for over 20 years and is usually a big hit with the 5th graders.
