HONG KONG (Reuters) -Hong Kong’s economy expanded by 3.1% in the first quarter from a year earlier, the government said on Friday, supported by increases in exports of goods and services, and a resumption of growth in overall investment expenditure.
The economy grew 2.5% in the fourth quarter of 2024, 1.9% growth in the third quarter, 3.0% growth in the second quarter and 2.8% growth in the first quarter.
On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the economy expanded 1.9% in January-March.
