DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – St. Louis County has released the results of a survey of residents conducted earlier this year.
Overall survey respondents say the quality of life is good, recreational opportunities are higher than the national average and the maintenance of county roads score much better.
Areas of concern include the ongoing opioid epidemic, homelessness and poverty.
The overall confidence in county government was steady from the last survey three years ago and 15 of 22 specific services got higher ratings than they did last time.
The survey packet was mailed to 4900 random county residents in January with a 17 percent response rate.
Complete survey results are available online at stlouiscountymn.gov.
