SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – A Wisconsin Department of Transportation project that will re-pave a portion of Highway 53 in Superior is scheduled to begin on Monday.
The project, between the Blatnik Bridge and Perkins Restaurant, will also make improvements to intersections, curb and gutter repairs and the ramps to and from the bridge.
The highway will remain open for most of the work, but single lane closures can be expected and detours will be in place when the Blatnik Bridge ramps are milled and paved.
The nearly 4 million dollar project is expected to be complete by early October.
