DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Those home and cabin owners who had damage caused by the wildfires in St. Louis County are being advised to wait a little longer before hauling fire damaged debris.
The county is continuing to work through the permitting process with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to allow for the operation of a disposal site in Brimson.
Details are expected to be worked out within the next two weeks.
Once the disposal site is open, the county’s Environmental Services recommends saving any receipts related to disposal costs since they might be reimbursable through insurance or other assistance if it becomes available.
