DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – On Monday, area nurses voted to authorize a strike claiming unfair labor practices at Essentia Health and Aspirus-St. Luke’s.
Negotiations between the hospitals and the Minnesota Nurses Association are continuing with contracts set to expire at the end of the month.
Nurses at 11 Twin Cities area hospitals, where bargaining continues, also voted to authorize a strike.
If a strike were to be called, the nurses are required to provide a ten day notice to their employers to arrange for necessary coverage.
