WASHINGTON, D.C. (KDAL) – Congressman Pete Stauber has announced that the previous decision to close the Federal Prison Camp in Duluth has been overturned by the Trump administration.
The decision follows a recent visit to the prison by William Marshall, the newly appointed Director of Federal Prisons. During the visit last week, Stauber says the Director was able to see firsthand the top notch programming, dedicated employees and the value that the prison brings to the community.
Stauber says the 90 employees at the prison will now be able to remain on the job for years to come.
