(Reuters) -The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill on Thursday that would develop a regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies and expand the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s oversight of the industry.
The move is a major win for the digital asset industry, which has pushed for federal legislation for years and spent heavily in last year’s elections to promote pro-crypto candidates.
