DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A record time at the Park Point 5-Miler was set on Thursday by Lars Dewall with a time of 24 minutes and 12 seconds.
The time broke the previous men’s event record, set in 1975 by Steve Hoag, by 3 seconds.
Shae Hostager, in her first Park Point 5-Miler, won the women’s division with a time of 29:09.
There was also a 2-mile walk at the event with Matthew Ring and Lori Mickelson winning their divisions.
The 608 finishers in the two races was the 2nd largest total at the annual event.
