DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – On September 27th and 28th a portion of Garfield Avenue in Duluth will again be used for a legal drag racing event.
After beginning in 2007, the annual Duluth Drag Races were paused for five years during the construction of the Twin Ports Interchange project.
There were 125 racers in the 2019 event which was attended by several thousand spectators.
It is the only 1/8th mile legalized drag racing event held on a public street in the U-S.
Those who want to register for the races, buy spectator tickets or get more information can go online to duluthdragrace.com.
