SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – Superior Police were called to a residence in the 1700 block of Iowa Avenue on Tuesday afternoon on reports of someone causing a disturbance in the home.
According to the report, an intoxicated male had pointed a firearm at another occupant of the home that was trying to leave.
When officers arrived, they attempted to contact the armed man by phone without success.
The police armored vehicle was driven to the front of the house and a loudspeaker was used directing the man to exit the home.
When the man came out, he refused to follow directions to keep his hands up and instead reached for his waistband. An officer then used non-lethal pepper ball munitions and the man was taken into custody without further issues.
The name of the 38 year old suspect has not been released by authorities.
