PARIS (Reuters) -High water temperatures are expected to affect electricity production on the Rhone river in eastern France from Aug. 5, particularly at the 3.6 gigawatt (GW) Bugey nuclear plant, nuclear operator EDF said in a notice on Thursday.
If confirmed, the production restrictions will be announced in a separate publication, the operator said.
Restriction warnings for the Bugey plant and several others were also issued during the heatwave in June. August is a major holiday month in France and is typically a period of low electricity demand.
