WASHBURN, WI (KDAL) – Early Tuesday morning, deputies from the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to be operated by a man currently wanted on multiple arrest warrants.
The driver, identified as Robert Ganz-Brown, failed to stop and his vehicle was later disabled by spike strips that were placed in the road by deputies.
The suspect then fled on foot and a short time later stole a vehicle from a nearby occupied residence.
Later in the morning, Superior Police located the stolen vehicle but Ganz-Brown was not found.
Authorities say he has a known history of theft and fleeing from law enforcement.
At this time there is no indication that the suspect would be a threat to the public but anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office.
