SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – Superior Police were called to the 400 block of 27th Avenue East on Friday afternoon on reports of a shooting.
The report indicated that two men had fired shots at a residence in the area and then fled on foot.
Police located the two men on East 4th Street near 22nd Avenue East and while officers attempted to detain them, one suspect discarded a firearm in some shrubs and continued to run.
After an extended foot chase, police took the suspect, a 32 year old Duluth man, into custody.
An investigation determined that no shots were fired and the situation stemmed from a domestic dispute.
The now jailed suspect faces a variety of charges including recklessly endangering safety, being a felon in possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.
