FREDENBURG TOWNSHIP, MN (KDAL) – The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department has two people in custody after a residential burglary in the 6000 block of Olson Drive in Fredenburg Township on Saturday.
The owners of the property returned home and discovered the front door of the home and a barn were kicked in. Firearms and ammunition were taken and significant damage occurred due to a discharged fire extinguisher, broken glass, dishes and other items.
After an initial investigation, a suspect vehicle was located a short distance away.
Following a pursuit, the vehicle was stopped near the Buzz Ryan Road and the driver and a passenger were arrested for 1st degree burglary.
The three firearms and other stolen property have been recovered. Authorities say the home was not specifically targeted and believe it was an isolated incident
