BRUSSELS (Reuters) -The European Union’s 19th package of sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine was removed from the agenda of a meeting of EU government representatives in Brussels on Wednesday, EU diplomats said.
The meeting of ambassadors of EU governments to the European Union, called the COREPER, was to discuss the package that the European Commission has long been working on and no new date for the discussions was set, the diplomats said.
“It was taken off the COREPER agenda late yesterday afternoon. No new date is planned,” one diplomat said.
