BEIJING (Reuters) -China’s fiscal revenue increased 0.3% in the first eight months of 2025 from a year earlier after a 0.1% gain in the January-July period, finance ministry data showed on Wednesday.
Fiscal expenditure was up 3.1% on the year in the January-August period, comparing with a 3.4% increase in the first seven months.
Last week, finance minister Lan Foan said China’s fiscal policy had ample room and pledged a more flexible fiscal push to shore up economic growth.
