SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – Superior Mayor Jim Paine has released his budget for 2026 to the City Council on Tuesday night.
The proposed budget will decrease the city property tax levy by 1.55 percent while maintaining spending levels for all city services.
The Mayor’s budget stresses public safety and includes a new fire hall in Superior’s north end and expansion of police department funding. The budget also significantly increases infrastructure investments including lead line replacements and expanding the Connect Superior broadband network.
Mayor Paine says the budget demonstrates Superior’s growing financial health and will improve citizen safety and quality of life.
