DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A Red Flag Warning has been issued for several counties in northeast Minnesota on Monday due to extreme fire conditions.
The warning means that fires can spread quickly and grow out of control with high winds and low relative humidity.
The counties included in the warning are Aitkin, Carlton, Pine and St. Louis.
The DNR will not issue or activate open burning permits for debris burning and campfires are discouraged.
The Red Flag Warning is effective from 11 a-m to 5 p-m on Monday.
