The marriage between Orlando City SC and Oscar Pareja has been a good one and the pairing will be together a little longer.
On Wednesday, Orlando City announced it had agreed on a three-year extension with Pareja through 2028.
Pareja joined Orlando City prior to the 2020 season. In the club’s first five seasons in MLS it failed to have a winning record. Pareja turned that around quickly. Orlando City went 11-8-4 in his first season as head coach and won the MLS Is Back Tournament.
Pareja has led the Lions to five consecutive playoffs and his overall record with the team is 88-58-56. Under Pareja, Orlando City won the U.S. Open Cup in 2022 and made the MLS Eastern Conference finals last season.
Pareja also has coached Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas, winning MLS Coach of the Year with the latter in 2016, and he owns the fifth-most wins in MLS history with 176.
Orlando City is 3-2-3 thus far in 2025.
