ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says a couple of North Shore attractions have been nominated for the USA Today Reader’s Choice Awards.
Gooseberry Falls State Park is among the choices in a reader’s vote for the ten best State Parks. The park, just north of Two Harbors is the most visited State Park in Minnesota with nearly 760,000 visitors in 2024 and features upper, middle and lower waterfalls.
Among the choices for the Best Hiking Trail category is the Devil’s Kettle Trail in the Magney State Park between Grand Marais and Grand Portage. The two mile trail winds through forests and follows a river which features two waterfalls on the way to Lake Superior.
Public voting is now open and ends on May 12th. Each person can vote once per day per category.
