SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – An incident in Superior that required the use of the Emergency Response Team and Crisis Response Team ended early Monday morning with the arrest of a 36 year old man.
Superior Police say they were called to the 900 block of Clough Avenue around 5:30 p-m on reports of a man causing a disturbance in the neighborhood.
The man was yelling and broke multiple windows in the house and threw glass and other objects onto the street. Earlier, a neighbor had checked on the man to find him armed with a handgun and suicidal. The neighbor was able to wrestle the gun away and fled the house.
Officers tried to make contact with the man who was uncooperative and refused to come out of the house.
After several hours, the Emergency Response Team deployed gas munitions into the house and the man was taken into custody with the use of a taser at around midnight.
