DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Camp House wildfire northeast of Brimson has continued to grow in size and has been joined by the Jenkins Creek fire, first spotted on Monday about 15 miles south of Hoyt Lakes and the Munger Shaw fire east of Cotton.
As of Tuesday morning, the Jenkins Creek fire rapidly spread to the north and is already 6,800 acres in size and the Munger Shaw fire is at 1300 acres and growing.
Meanwhile the Camp House fire is at 12,000 acres and the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office reports in excess of 40 structures have already been destroyed.
Evacuation orders are in place for all fires.
Firefighters from various agencies continue to battle the blazes from the ground and the air.
Another hot and windy day is expected Tuesday which will continue to hinder efforts to contain the wildfires.
No injuries have been reported in either fire.
