Nationals outfielder Dylan Crews will get an MRI exam Wednesday on his lower left side and back after leaving Washington’s 5-3 win against the visiting Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night.
Crews came out after the fifth inning, having felt something in his lower back/left side on a check swing during a fifth-inning walk.
“It kind of grabbed a little bit on the check swing,” Crews told MASN.com. “It’s unfortunate. It’s something that’s new to me.”
Crews, 23, homered in his second straight game, with his solo shot giving Washington a 4-3 second-inning lead.
In 45 games this year, Crews is hitting .196 with a .266 on-base percentage, a .354 slugging percentage, seven homers and 15 RBIs.
