LONDON (Reuters) -The British public’s expectations for inflation in the coming 12 months cooled in May, according to a Bank of England survey on Friday ahead of its interest rates decision next week.
Households’ year-ahead expectations fell to 3.2% in the three months to May, down from 3.4% in the previous survey, published in February.
Longer-term expectations remained at their highest in several years.
