THE HAGUE (Reuters) -Leaders of Britain, France and Germany said on Tuesday that it was now “time for diplomacy”, as a shaky ceasefire began to take hold between Israel and Iran.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer met with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the NATO summit in The Hague.
“The leaders reflected on the volatile situation in the Middle East,” Starmer’s office said in a statement following the meeting. “Now was the time for diplomacy and for Iran to come to the negotiating table, they agreed.”
