WASHINGTON, D.C. (KDAL) – A man who spent over 45 years in various positions in the Port of Duluth-Superior has been named as administrator of the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (GLS) by the U-S Department of Transportation.
Mike McCoshin, a native of Superior, was sworn in at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. last week.
McCoshin worked recently as a consultant in the new C. Reiss terminal project, he was also president and chief operating officer at Duluth’s Hallet Dock Company and previously worked at the BNSF taconite loading facility in Superior.
Established in 1954, the Great Lakes Seaway Development Corporation has been led by eleven administrators and McCoshin is the third with direct connections to the Twin Ports.
The GLS operates and maintains the U-S infrastructure and waters of the St. Lawrence Seaway system.
