BRASILIA (Reuters) -Brazil’s central bank has raised its 2025 economic growth forecast to 2.1% from 1.9% in March, according to its quarterly monetary policy report released on Thursday.
After previously projecting annual inflation at 3.6% for 2026, the relevant horizon for current policy decisions, policymakers unveiled a 3.2% forecast for the fourth quarter of 2027, the final period covered by the report.
The bank targets annual inflation at 3%, with a tolerance margin of 1.5 percentage points in either direction.
