DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA) healthcare workers at 6 Essentia Clinics in the Twin Ports will hold an Unfair Labor Practices strike starting on Tuesday.
Nurses will be picketing from 7 a-m to 5:30 p-m each day until further notice.
A tentative settlement was reached between the MNA acute care nurses and the Essentia Hospital on July 4th.
Healthcare facilities affected by the strike are the Essentia 1st Street, 2nd Street and 3rd Street Clinics, the Essentia Miller Hill Ambulatory Surgery Center, the Essentia Superior Clinic and the Solvay Hospice House.
Union representatives will be holding a press conference Tuesday on the status of negotiations.
In a news release, Essentia says it is working to ensure minimal disruption to patient care across the communities that are impacted by the work stoppage.
