WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said on Wednesday that Jon Kroeper has been appointed deputy director of the agency’s division of trading and markets effective Sept. 29, the SEC said in a statement.
Kroeper previously worked at the the SEC from 1994-2000 and 2005-2007 as attorney, advisor and counselor to a commissioner and the chairman. He joined the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in 2007, where he worked until last year as executive vice president in the market regulation department. Since 2024, Kroeper has been a consultant at Patomak Global Partners.
