(Reuters) -U.S. lawmakers are scrutinizing large technology companies including Amazon and Apple over their use of H-1B visas even as they lay off other workers, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.
The senators have requested data from companies by October 10 on H-1B workers’ wages and potential displacement of American employees, the report added, citing a letter by some lawmakers.
