DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Around 11:15 on Wednesday night, Duluth Police responded to the report of a shooting in the 500 block of North 57th Avenue West.
According to initial information, a man had discharged a firearm at another man who was inside a vehicle and then fled the scene.
The victim in the shooting was not injured.
The man who fired the shot then returned to the scene and rammed two police squad cars with his vehicle. One of the squads had a K-9 inside.
Police have identified the suspect as 36 year old Demetrius Norwood.
The officers then arrested Norwood who is known to police and has an extensive criminal history.
Pending charges include 2nd degree assault, reckless discharge of a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
