ST. PAUL, MN (24/7 News Source) – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has put an end to his re-election bid for a third term.
In a statement Monday morning, Walz said he came to the decision after reflection with his family and team over the holidays.
This comes as the state and Walz have been under renewed scrutiny after a video from conservative independent journalist Nick Shirley that claimed to show abandoned day cares that have received taxpayer money.
Walz said, “Every minute I spend defending my own political interests would be a minute I can’t spend defending the people of Minnesota against the criminals who prey on our generosity and the cynics who prey on our differences.”
