DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A Duluth Police Officer was treated and released from a hospital after being stabbed in the leg on Saturday.
Police were called to reports of an intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance by hitting the side of an ambulance and threatening the paramedics inside around 1st Avenue West and 1st Street.
The suspect was located about a block away and while the officer was trying to detain him, the 22 year old resisted and stabbed the officer.
The man is now in jail facing charges of assault, disorderly conduct, fleeing an officer and disorderly conduct.
