VOYAGEURS NATIONAL PARK, MN (KDAL) – Around 10 p-m on Friday, the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department was notified that three campers were lost in the woods while attempting to locate their campsite.
Deputies and other agencies responded to the Ash River Trail in Voyageur’s National Park where the camper’s vehicle was parked.
Using special equipment, members of the St. Louis County Rescue Squad were able to locate the missing campers and transported them out of the woods.
The campers, from Wisconsin, were returned to their vehicle without incident and no injuries were reported.
