MOUNTAIN IRON, MN (KDAL) – In the early morning hours of February 2nd, a North Star Credit Union ATM machine in Mountain Iron was damaged and cash was stolen.
Security camera footage showed two suspects in a four door sedan and the public’s help was requested in identifying the individuals.
One of the suspects was later positively identified as 21 year old Nixon Ospino-Rodriguez and a warrant on charges of felony theft was issued for his arrest.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says he was apprehended in Austin, Texas.
The investigation into the ATM theft remains active and ongoing.
